Can’t they just take it to the Apple Store to get it unlocked?

Surely a friend must know her code even if they saw her type it whilst they were next to her! Should have asked them sooner and they may have remembered!

Apple needs to create a way that let’s law enforcement in the phone. Like serial number tracking on a phone.

the cops usually never give back evidence like this. My stepdad was murdered over ten years ago and they still have all of my mothers belongings. It’s so frustrating how greedy they get with stuff like this

They can easily go through a forensic swipe on the phone. They’ve been able to do that a couple times on mine. It shows everything that’s been on the device sense they got it.

Apple needs to let authorities in the phone if it’s a homicide investigation, that’s crazy!!!!

If the parents don’t know the passcode, and the recovery number is old. They can’t get.into the phone without erasing the phone and that means losing information. Now with cops involved idk how that works
