@plush.sheepnews: Two New OWN Christmas Movies Are Coming: A First-Ever Holiday Sequel And A Tap Dancing Film With Corinne Foxx OWN has announced two new movies for its eighth annual OWN for the Holidays event. PEOPLE shared the trailers first. The Christmas Showdown 2 airs Saturday, November 28. It is OWN’s first-ever holiday movie sequel. Amber Stevens West and Corbin Reid return as Chastity and April, who run an event company in Sugar Heights. This time, the mayor brings in a national company run by Tate, played by Jenifer Lewis. The two friends set out to save their business and their town. “We don’t need help,” Chastity tells the mayor. Tate answers, “That’s cute.” Stevens West and Reid met during a chemistry read for the show Run the World. They have been close friends since. “It’s just one of those things that you can’t really fake,” Stevens West told PEOPLE last year. Tapping into Christmas airs Saturday, December 5. Corinne Foxx, Jamie Foxx’s daughter, plays Jeni Walker. Her theater career in New York stalls, so she returns home to Memphis. There, she learns her community theater, Heritage House, is about to close. She teams up with her sisters, played by Chloé and Maud Arnold, to stage a holiday tap showcase. Debbie Allen and D Smoke also star. The Arnold sisters created and choreographed the film. In the trailer, Allen’s character tells Jeni, “I believe in you.” Which holiday movie are you most excited to watch? #OWN #christmas #Holiday #Movie #dancing
