@c5news: A man who fell to his death from a rollercoaster in an incident that left several other passengers injured has been described as a passionate educator who loved his city. Hassan Jihad Ibn Kariem of Atlanta has been named as the man who was ejected from the ride at Six Flags Georgia on Monday. According to witnesses, the 42-year-old struck several other riders before falling beneath the ride. Investigators are still trying to determine what happened. A witness told 11Live that the vehicle hit Mr Kariem, “and then he flew back up again, and it hit him again”. A spokesperson for the Six Flags Entertainment Corporation said that rollercoasters similar to the one involved in the accident have been closed “out of an abundance of caution” at a number of their parks. “We are deeply saddened by the guest incident at our park today,” the spokesperson added.” The Cobb County Police Department and the state agency that oversees amusement parks, the Office of the Commissioner of Insurance and Safety Fire, are investigating the incident. #5news
