@dailyfaithministry: Will Jesus Raise the Cremated? What the Bible Really Says About Ashes If a body is burned to ashes, what exactly is left for Jesus to raise? Will Jesus raise the cremated? Many believers carry that question for years and never say it out loud. In this message from Daily Faith Ministry, we put the question on trial. First, the strongest biblical case against hope for the cremated: the graves of John 5, fire as judgment in the Old Testament, the burned bones of Amos 2, the pattern of burial from Abraham to Jesus, and the martyrs of Lyon whose ashes were thrown into a river. Then the evidence on the other side. Dust you are, and to dust you shall return. The sea giving up its dead in Revelation 20. The burning of King Saul and Jonathan, which David called kindness. The seed of 1 Corinthians 15. The valley of dry bones. And the answer the early church gave when persecutors tried to destroy the hope of resurrection with fire. You will also hear what the Bible says about where a believer is right now, whether cremation is a sin, and what to do with guilt over a decision made in grief. The verdict comes from Scripture, not from sentiment. And it ends with two Hebrew words Abraham spoke to God that may change how you look at an urn forever. The hope of resurrection is fastened to what happened to the body of Jesus, not to what happened to ours.
