@irlorganizing: When I started my business, I imagined a bunch of bins. I imagined finding ways to organize my clients spaces so they would look like Pinterest, I guess. But what I did not envision was that I would be doing so much more than that. Every session has turned into an opportunity to meet the most wonderful, interesting people who just do not have the time or the mental capacity to deal with certain areas of their homes. Being able to go through their bags and boxes, sort through everything, and organize it in a way that is manageable and realistic for their actual lives has been rewarding beyond words for me. Anybody who knows me knows that I worked in the medical field for over 10 years, and I have always loved helping people. But the medical field was also mentally exhausting for me. So much depended on the system, who could afford the best healthcare, and whether the doctor I was working with that day had the heart to truly help someone and see them as a person. I spent so much time connecting with my patients because I wanted them to feel seen, heard, and comfortable. I wanted them to know I would never judge them, that I was there to listen, and that I would help in any way I could. For the first time since leaving the medical field, I have found something that gives me that same feeling of helping and connecting with another person. Except now, I get to do it my way, and that brings me so much hope that I can make a difference in someone’s life. Even if that difference is simply comforting someone by reminding them that this is normal, that a lot of people struggle with the same things, and that it is okay to ask for help. A hard season can show up as weeks of laundry piled on the floor. That does not define who you are. I think that is something we all need to be reminded of sometimes. Life happens. We get overwhelmed. We fall behind on things we thought we would have handled by now. And sometimes, we need a little help getting back to a place that feels manageable. I will never judge you. My own closet might look worse on my hard days, too. Sometimes we need to start over, reorganize, and ask for help as many times as we need to, with whatever areas of our homes we are struggling with. As I continue building my business, I have so many ideas for how I want to personalize each experience for my clients and create systems that actually work for their lives. But more than anything, I hope I never lose that feeling of connecting with people and helping them. Because every single time I finish a job and my client walks into their space, I see their shoulders relax. I see their big smile, and I know that I have taken one heavy, overwhelming task off their shoulders. And I know how that feels. I want to make as many people as possible feel that way. 🤍 #professionalorganizeraz
