I’m a CNA/PCT I hold the hands of peoples loved ones late at night and speak softly and give them my kindness in their darkest moments. I sing to dementia patients when they are confused and can’t sleep. Diminishing my job in humanity is impossible.

I quit health care because everyone thinks we don't need to be treated correctly or paid accurately. Aides are doing too much to be undervalued. They spend more time with patients than anyone else in the healthcare team.

I was a cna before I became a nurse and my back is trashed because of it. I don’t know a single aide that doesn’t have some kind of issue with their backs, hips, knees, or feet. I was also TKO’d by a gentleman is a memory care unit when he broke my jaw. I found out later he’d been a boxer when he was young, that would’ve been good info to have.

i have so much respect for the cna’s at my hospital. they are some of the sweetest ppl. they work so hard and deal with bs all day every day but no matter what they show up and care for their patients

I’m a Cna and have been for the past 24 years and still am. Yes it’s a hard job but I love it and I do my best to be a great Cna and I go above and beyond to make sure my patients are clean, comfortable and well cared for. It’s been a very rewarding job and I wouldn’t change any of it.
