NOT JUST A 7CT MARQUISE — THE DETAILS ARE ALL UNDERNEATH. ✨ This is one of those rings that looks beautiful from the top, but becomes even more interesting when you turn it around. At the center is a 7CT marquise diamond, IGI certified, set in 14K gold. Because the marquise already has such a long and dramatic silhouette, I didn’t want the setting to compete with it from the front. So the real design story happens underneath. The basket is built with a petal-inspired structure, wrapping around the center stone almost like a flower opening upward. Instead of making the gallery heavy or overly enclosed, the metal curves follow the shape of the marquise and leave enough openness around the stone, so the profile still feels light and dimensional. And one of my favorite details is the hidden halo. Most hidden halos use tiny round diamonds all the way around. For this design, I wanted something sharper and more architectural, so we used small rectangular diamonds instead. That little change completely alters the side profile. The rectangular stones create cleaner lines beneath the marquise and echo the elongated geometry of the center stone, rather than adding another row of traditional round pavé. Then we continued the same idea onto the band. Instead of a standard round-diamond pavé band, the shoulders are accented with marquise-shaped diamonds, creating a more pointed, leaf-like rhythm along the finger. From the front, they almost look like the center stone is extending outward into smaller marquise shapes.
