🚨🚨This car kept on following me, Please be careful when walking alone. Trust your instincts and don’t ignore red flags. I genuinely felt unsafe today I just want to raise awareness about something that happened to me today. I was walking from Alberton City to Alberton Mall when a car stopped on the side of the road. There were three men inside, and the man in the passenger seat said, “Hey, let’s take you wherever you’re going.” I said, “No, thank you,” but he kept insisting. I ignored them and continued walking. As I was about to cross the robot, they turned around and parked their car in a way that was almost blocking my path. I ignored them and moved to the side. The driver then poked his head out of the window and said, “Can I talk to you?” I said no thank you. He then said, “Come,” but I ignored him and kind of jogged to the other side of the road. I thought they had finally left, but then I saw the same car following me again. The man in the passenger seat said, “You see, you’re going far. Let’s go,” and laughed. I ignored them again and that’s when I took a short video of the car. That’s when they parked again, and the driver got out of the car and started walking towards me while smiling. At that point I shouted, “Continue following me and I will scream. I’m also going to post this on social media.” He just laughed and went back towards the car, but he didn’t get inside Luckily, a man who had just come out of a nearby photocopy shop noticed what was happening and asked me if I was okay. I explained everything to him, and he decided to accompany me to the other side of Alberton Mall so that I could request a ride and get home safely While we were walking, the driver started his car and began reversing out of the parking area. However, when he noticed that I was still walking with the man who was helping me, he parked again I told the man what had happened, and he reassured me, saying, “Don’t worry, they won’t do anything.” He then walked with me into the mall near Dis-Chem and I continued to the other side where Cash Crusaders is and requested my ride home The three men appeared to be Nigerian, but I want to make it clear that I am talking about these specific individuals and not Nigerians as a whole. I honestly don’t know what their intentions were, but after repeatedly saying no and having them continue following me, stopping in front of me, and approaching me, I felt extremely uncomfortable and unsafe I was genuinely scared. Please be careful when walking alone, and if something doesn’t feel right, trust your instincts and get yourself somewhere safe.
