The thing is, all role queue would do is make queues longer. Everyone who is 1 trick dps min will still pick the dps role and no other role so there still will be a lack of tanks and healers. I honestly don’t think it’ll fix the issue it will just make you wait longer for a game lol.

not role queue but role lock, first 2 people to lock dps makes it unavailable to everyone else same with tank and supp and if u want to swap roles with someone just add a request to swap option that only works when both of u r in spawn and in the hero select screen

I start on dps because its the role with the most fun and if heals i lackluster i heal if the tank aint tanking i tank its as simple as that

what I've said is there needs to be an option kind of like surrender but the team can vote for a certain player to be forced to swap off the hero they are failing on

you should learn more characters and not one trick but it’d still be better if people were playing on their best role. Someone could be a Celestial tank but play like a diamond support when the have to flex

The only way to get selfish dps players to play other roles is to force them to. They’ll see how insanely long dps have to wait in role queue, then they’ll go tank and get in instantly. We still won’t have healers but even a small change would be better. I almost lose my mind when people go 4th dps when all we need is one more healer.

I'll be honest, for the longest time I OTP'd CD for Strat, because I didn't think I needed to learn more than 1 Support because CD did pretty much anything I could possibly need. I learned 2-3+ for DPS and Vanguard, but despite Strat being my main role I only knew how to play CD xD (Now I'm much more diverse, I play White Fox and Rocket, and trying to learn Loki, bless my heart)

I’m sorry I agree you should learn multiple roles but there’s absolutely no reason to learn dps as a flex player since you will never be without at least two dps in your lobby. On the off chance you are you can still run triple support or triple tank

I do not think they should have role que, and honestly agree that people should know how to play more than one character, especially across different roles. That being said, I’ve run into way too many people who say “seriously we’re not gonna get a second tank?” instead of swapping themselves or politely asking “do you guys think we could get another tank” (and let’s be honest it should be the solo tank or supp asking, not whoever picked a 3rd dps)
