@curatedbywanza: The monastery was designed by Localworks UG bringing together four clay-brick buildings: a church, novitiate, guesthouse and gatehouse, arranged around three courtyards. The church features a striking barrel-vaulted roof with glass bottles integrated into the brick arches, allowing natural light to filter into the nave. Across the complex, perforated brick screens encourage natural ventilation, while a secondary roof provides shade, collects rainwater and supports solar panels. A thoughtful expression of sustainable architecture. Photos by @willboase #curatedbywanza #architecture #africanarchitecture #architecturephotography #fyp
