@noelscopes: -infected poop into chocolate milkshakes, and fed it to them. 700+ kids. Parents had to agree to get their child admitted to school. It lasted 15 YEARS and he got awards for it. This was Willowbrook State School. And they called it "science" 💔 ‎‎#willowbrook #truestory #medicalhistory #creatorsearchinsights #medicalstudying

and the worst part is without wildly unethical studies like this we wouldn't have developed all the things like informed consent etc like we have now making experiments more humane.

I grew up in Brooklyn, NY so obviously Staten Island wasn’t too far away. Willowbrook is a stain that can never be fully washed away. When I worked for United cerebral palsy of NYC back in 2012, there was a man who was like in his 50-60s who remembered being in Willowbrook. He recounted being hosed down with cold water or being tied to a bed. Many kids who went there could walk and speak, but their families were told to place them there because they had some sort of disability. Many children regressed to the point they could no longer walk or speak. The fact that this was done there is sadly no surprise. Just adds another layer to that hell that was Willowbrook

Yes, lives were eventually saved. But what if they never found a vaccine. It means they would have abused those already marginalized children for nothing. Science shouldn't be brought via someone else's suffering.

What’s always interesting about all of these discoveries are that the sacrifice for the greater good is often enforced onto the weak and vulnerable.

From my prospective this so cruel 💔 1st they were disabled 💔 2nd they were children 💔 3rd they didn't have Hepatitis 💔 4th Whhhyyyy from all the infected people he choses them to make them suffer like this 💔5th they were fed with infected pop 😭 what the heck this is related to morality , research and health experiments if they were not infected at first place there must be another ways to do his research

Morally yeah it was bad but parents gave consent. So the question is what parent does that? They could have home schooled their kids. Maybe they saw it as a way out...you know what I mean. But why did they infect healthy kids when they already had sick kids to study?? Doesn't make sense.

the most horrible experiments give the most outcome, im sorry to the younglings, they should of gotten better and loved in a good home. they should of been honored, and honestly morally they shouldn't of done it.

I don’t think people understand that most major scientific advancements are made in blood. How we found out the human body is 96% water? Unit 731. Our foundational understanding of genetics? Josef Mengele. Thats just two examples but there are tons of others.

Everyone who voted 'Yes' needs to get their head checked. What does 'worthy yes, morally no' even mean? Nothing involving innocent lives is ever worth it.
