I had to stay the night a few weeks back. I offered to go buy us food but was basically forced to eat this. I would've added her country crock or spray butter to the potato but they were both over a year expired😭

I always bring a protein bar to my mom's house and when I inevitably have to bust it out because there's nothing else, she ALWAYS says "That's not real food" - neither is the 1/2 empty bottle of soy sauce you've got there mom!

This is my mom to a T and then she got deeply offended when my Aunt and cousins came to stay with us for a week and my Aunt stopped at the grocery store and brought the whole store worth of snacks for everyone so her children would have something to eat during the stay. My mom litterally said “ugh! She acts like there’s nothing to eat at my house!” I’m sorry where we suppose to survive on 2 almonds? 😂

Does anyone else get if you’re *really* hungry and eat something with not enough calories you end up with real bad stomach pain? I was starving and my mum gave me a bowl of lettuce and I felt so much worse afterwards 😭

My mil almost always has the option of room temp sparkling water, organic rice cakes, some sort of chipotle aioli sauce, and if you’re lucky olive oil popcorn. Otherwise her fridge is EMPTY except for tofu
