@wildsightings.cpm: An angry pregnant rhino forced a conservationist to hide up a tree. Shayen Seebran was called out to monitor a black rhino in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, when she became aware of his presence. Heartstopping footage, filmed from the safety of a 1.5-metre-tall tree, captured the moment the grumpy female turned a corner and headed straight for Shayen. While just below his feet, the black rhino huffed and puffed grumpily while Shayen sheltered for safety. Shayen said: "I've been in conservation for almost 10 years and your adrenaline always spikes in situations like this. It's key to stay calm and not panic, but I loved every second of it. "Though black rhinos are known for their natural aggression, she charged because of my movement as I tried to get higher once she started walking closer to me. "She is a 10 year old black rhino and is approximately 14 months pregnant. I could only climb about 1.5 metres high because that was the closest and largest tree available to me." #rhino #southafrica #conservation #nature #noAI
