Writing 💔🇵🇰 THREE YEARS OF IMPRISONMENT… BUT THE STRUGGLE CONTINUES! 🦁🔥 First Imran Khan, now Sohail Afridi? Is this justice, or a test of the people's patience? ⚖️💔 You can arrest leaders, but you cannot imprison the voice of the people! ✊🇵🇰

🏡💜 Sensory Processing Differences Series — Part 7: Sensory Processing at Home Home is often where children feel safest—and sometimes where their sensory needs become most visible. Everyday routines like getting dressed, brushing teeth, eating meals, cleaning up, hearing the vacuum, taking a bath, or transitioning to bedtime can involve a LOT of sensory information. 🧠✨ A child’s nervous system may seek more input, avoid certain sensations, respond strongly to sensory experiences, or need different things at different times. At home, you might notice: 🏃 Jumping, spinning, crashing, or constantly moving 👂 Covering ears during the vacuum, blender, or other household sounds 👕 Avoiding certain clothing, tags, seams, or textures 🪥 Struggling with toothbrushing, hair washing, or grooming 🤗 Seeking hugs, squeezes, heavy blankets, or deep pressure 🍽️ Having strong preferences around food textures, smells, or tastes 🏕️ Creating small, cozy spaces or seeking quiet time alone 💡 Preferring dim lighting or becoming overwhelmed by busy environments 🔄 Having difficulty transitioning between activities or routines Sometimes children also appear to “hold it together” in other environments and release their emotions once they get home. Rather than focusing only on the behavior, look at what happened beforehand and what their nervous system may be communicating. Try asking: 💭 “What does my child need right now—more sensory input, less input, movement, predictability, connection, or time to reset?” Support might include creating a sensory-friendly space, offering movement opportunities, building predictable routines, providing choices, using individualized regulation tools, and allowing time to decompress. 🌿 Most importantly, connect before you correct. ❤️ Behavior can be communication, and understanding the need underneath it can help us respond with greater compassion. Home doesn’t have to be sensory-perfect. It can simply be a place where a child feels safe, understood, connected, and accepted as they are. ✨ Every child. Every sense. Every version of them matters.
