@noah.j.elias: There's a story about a rich businessman climbing Mount Everest, mid-life, the classic version of chasing one more big achievement after the business had already made him successful. He spent close to six figures on the expedition and hired Sherpas to guide him up. They get to base camp one or two, and he wakes up jacked, coffee in hand, ready to hit it hard. The Sherpas are just sitting there, drinking their coffee, in no rush at all. He says, "let's go, guys, I paid for this." They say, "no. Tomorrow." He's furious, a whole day wasted on his own expensive trip. And they tell him something he clearly wasn't expecting to hear from hired help: "we have to wait for our soul to catch up." Ask yourself that same question, and actually sit with it instead of answering too fast: is your pace running at the same speed as your soul, or are you outrunning it the same way that businessman was outrunning his? Here's how I check mine, as honestly as I can. I don't feel in a hurry. I don't feel in haste. I don't feel the fear of missing out, that low hum of anxiety that something's passing me by while I'm not looking. Things can be busy, genuinely, legitimately busy, full calendar, real deadlines, and I still feel inner peace underneath it. Shalom. Cool, calm, and collected, even in the middle of real pressure, not because the pressure isn't real but because my pace and my soul are moving at the same speed through it. If that's not you right now, if the busyness comes with a background hum of dread or hurry you can't quite name, it's not a productivity problem. More output won't fix it.
