@vanessaxh59: I shouldn’t have to explain myself, but since my birth story video has gained so much traction, I feel the need to explain a few things. when I posted this video I didn’t think so many people would see it so I didn’t add any context to it, not saying I should’ve had because nobody is entitled to my life but I get when you make something public people will have their own opinions/questions. Everyone is assuming my husband is the worst person on earth for not being there when I gave birth to our child and that’s simply not the case. This was baby number 3. We don’t have a village and we don’t feel comfortable leaving our young children with strangers. That doesn’t mean we love or care about our youngest baby any less than we do of our other children. This was not an easy decision to make, for obvious reasons. Of course, I would have loved for my husband to be by my side while I was giving birth, but unfortunately, we didn’t have anyone else to help us. People have even questioned how I could not trust a babysitter when a father himself could potentially hurt his own children. I can’t speak for everyone else’s husband, but I know mine. My husband would give up his own life to protect our children. He has literally put himself in danger to protect his family. He was assaulted by two men who tried breaking into our home, and he ended up needing stitches. He put himself on the line to protect us. So no, I do not believe my husband would ever hurt our children. I know the kind of father he is, and I will not let strangers on the internet convince me otherwise simply because he couldn’t be present for one moment. We were fortunate enough to have his mother there for us when I gave birth to our second baby. Unfortunately, this time, things were different, and we had to make a difficult decision based on the circumstances we were facing. I also keep seeing people say that this should be a sign that we shouldn’t have any more children. Yes, being present for the birth of your child is important. I would have loved to share that moment with my husband. But being a parent is about so much more than being present for one moment. It’s about being there when your children are sick, taking them to appointments, birthdays, holidays, comforting them when they need you, showing up for them every day, and watching them grow up. Those are the moments that build a lifetime of memories, love, and security. Our circumstances were not ideal, and I wish things had been different. But we made the best decision we could with the situation we were given. And to everyone saying we shouldn’t have any more children because of this: we will not let strangers on the internet dictate how many children we choose to have. I will continue to have more babies with or without him being present at the actual birth. That does not mean I don’t want him there, and it certainly doesn’t mean he doesn’t want to be there. It means that sometimes life doesn’t go according to plan, and parents have to make difficult decisions. You are allowed to have your opinions, but you do not know our family, our circumstances, or the decisions we have had to make behind closed doors. Please stop judging our entire marriage and his entire character based on one moment you saw on the internet. ❤️ #childbirth #brunomars #newborn #baby #girlmom

Being judged for this just shows how ugly our world can truly be, and mothers doing it is even more disgusting. I hope they don’t raise daughters to be bullies because they are. I’m sure this decision was such a hard decision and I’m happy you do have that village at home even if it’s just him and your kids that’s the best village good luck momma 🖤

People are so ugly in this comment section!!! I went into labor with my 4th we couldn’t find anyone to watch our children last min so my husband wasn’t there but some one who I consider a second mom was there which I am entirely grateful for. It’s hard for some especially since my hospital did not allow the kids to be in there when. I gave birth, I would have loved my husband there instead but shit happens and it’s not the end of the world!

I’ll be doing it on my own bc I don’t have a sitter nor family or friends to watch my other 3 and this will be number 4. Did I mention due date is December 24th and I would like my kids to have atleast one parent to wake up to on Christmas. So I’m choosing to do it alone bc I don’t want anyone to feel left out on Christmas but me.

We were told we couldn’t have our other child in the delivery room luckily it was in the middle of the night and my husbands friend came through my son stayed asleep and by the time he woke up my husband went home to grab him. Congratulations! I do understand because we almost did this as well! But it was middle of the night.

I honestly rather have my mom there than the baby’s father as bad as it sounds it’s the truth. He can spend the night but I need my mama in the moment.

You owe no explanation! Our village is very small, and had a talk of him possibly not being there for the birth of the second baby. Unfortunately people just like to assume, and attack without the whole picture.

I think people tempt to forget we all have different relationships with our families. Not everyone’s family works the same and not everyone has the same experiences. If you didn’t trust anyone with your kids no one can question and start assuming. This world has become so complicated and bad that I understand why you would take such measures given the circumstances you and your partner have faced don’t listen to the comments what matters is that you have your person at the end of the day 🤍

You do not have to explain yourself to people who have hateful comments ! You and your husband know your own decisions and life and as long as your babies are loved and cared for that’s all that matters ! This world is cruel ! Sending you love 🫂

Having a c section and I just moved states no family nothing, my husband will have to sit this one out and be with our 3 babies in the waiting room. Hospital doesn't offer childcare but they said they will see what they can do so hubby can be there at least while I am in the operating room 😩

Felt. Currently pregnant with our 3rd baby and the ONLY person that has ever watched our children was my fiancés grandmother and she passed away in March. We’ve been so stressed about who will be watching our babies while we go in to have our 3rd😭

I get it! No judgement and doesn’t mean your husband or you don’t love each other. He’s supporting you from your home. I’d rather do this than leave my kids 😭

Aww I’m sorry people assume the worse. My man travels for work and my biggest fear is him not being able to catch a flight for the birth. He’s in MS right now but might be in TN next month. And I’m in TX. Congrats on your baby

We scheduled inductions for our second and will be for our now third and will only stay at the hospital for 24 hours like last time because we have to beg for someone to even watch them that long. Our hospital also since Covid doesn’t allow young kids in delivery or postpartum room. Everyone acts like every hospital is the same and they aren’t.

I left mine at home with hubby and birthed alone 10/10. Wasn’t worried about her, didn’t ruin her schedule, had a great hospital staff, and got some rest lol.

You know… I just found out I’m pregnant with our first, and due to our jobs we work on separate islands and are from two separate countries. It’s only a 45 min flight but, seeing you do this.. because life got in the way reassures the fuck out of me. I know it’s different situations. But thank you for making this first time mama a little more confident 🫶🏼

my husband was only there for the delivery then boom home with the other kids. I got this one go take care of the others. even after my c sections 👏🏾👏🏾 the nurses all kept saying how strong I was for being up and moving 12 hours post op like nothing happened. ma'am I have more babies at home. I need to get moving. I never did the 3 day stay for my c sections. I was out day two. if I need y'all I'll be back
