@cultofmegs: Haunted History: Brother XII Cult || Canadians get culty, too. #nostalgia #haunted #brothertwelve #cults #canadianhistory Description: Brother XII, born Edward Arther Wilson, founded the Aquarian Foundation cult in 1927 on Vancouver Island. He amassed a following of 8,000, promising a utopian society and predicting the end of the current social order. However, his tyrannical rule, embezzlement, and use of black magic led to his downfall, and he fled to Europe with his mistress, Madame Zee, in 1932.

Megs!! The tone of “I do” and screen change to you in this setting is just so good

I remember seeing this on an episode of Expedition Unknown and had no idea Canada had this lore

Pain Perdu de Sorcha :

You still have the best cult in Canada and the USA. I just wish you could have the creator fund in Canada.

You are the cult above all cults! Your research, pictures, and delivery of the info is unlike any other. Thank you making this cult member stay smiling and informed. I always learn something. [Smile]

I have a hand bound book from the Grand Lodge of Theosophists. Got it in a lot of books I bought off kijiji years ago. I've never heard Theosophists mentioned anywhere else.

🌿supposedly.myself🍁 :

The book “Ghost Stories of Vancouver Island” has a cool story about them too! 👻
