@the_twin_doctors: The victim of Monday’s Six Flags rollercoaster accident has been identified as Hassan Jihad Ibn Kariem. Kariem, 42, of Atlanta, was thrown from the Goliath roller coaster at Six Flags Over Georgia and hit other riders before falling beneath the ride. He died at the scene. Four others went to the hospital. He was the IT manager at Wesley International Academy, a K-8 charter school in Atlanta. His family says he loved his city and cared deeply about serving the families of his community. One witness to the incident says Kariem was riding with a young boy who appeared to be his son, while a woman and a young girl in their party watched from below. Goliath hits 70 mph and drops 175 feet, and riders are held in by a single lap bar. After the accident Six Flags has shut down nine similar coasters across the country while Georgia investigators try to figure out what went wrong. #SixFlags #SixFlagsOverGeorgia #Goliath #RollerCoasterSafety #Atlanta
