GTA online, the GTA series, and Saints Row 1 thru 3 already painted a negative picture of urban communities. Hood Warfare is just stripping those down to the minimum & making it loud. You can’t give those games a pass

I completely agree. GTA SA and GTA 5 were made to tell compelling stories. CJ and Franklin weren’t simply black stereotype; they both had identity struggles conveying the idea that no matter where you end up, your hood roots will always be within you. To say Hood Warfare is the same as GTA would be incredibly disingenuous to the writing, acting, and thought put behind those games that subvert stereotypes, rather than HEAVILY leaning into them (and that “heavily leaning” would still be a gross understatement)
