4th grade. a girl told me she was glad my dad died and was rotting in hell. He was her pediatrician and so many other kids I went to school with. He saved two babies. One on our dinner table at Easter for our bus driver whose baby stopped breathing and the other he did mouth to mouth as he drove to the hospital. Both babies lived. Heat stroke in a triathlon took him away from me. He gave a new child the ability to see with an eye transplant 💗 He was my hero

THE LAST STORY HAPPENED TO ME TOO only it was my bio dad. He told me he had to shoot kids off the back of a humvee and when he tried to give them food, he was told not to because they had explosives attached to them. Come to find out he worked on the PLANES. He was never on the front lines, he never saw the shit. He cheated on my mom over there. Military men and their need to seem more traumatized than they are truly needs to be studied.

The first one reminds me of my experience with my non involved father. He was absent. I wanted to know him so my mom tracked him down and we met. he tried to be a regular father to me but it only lasted four every other weekends and he stopped coming to get me. Fast forward we reunite again when I was 18. Had some weird moments but it was with people in a public setting and I could easily blame alcohol. Years later I had a kid and he reached out to me after being a here and there father to me and told me he wanted to be in a relationship with me that he'd help take care of my kid and shit, he loved me and I was beautiful. my brain is broken and I don't think of men the same anymore

In my 20s, I was with my best friend one night - nothing crazy - just doing crafts and having a drink or two, when she got gravely quiet, choked up and confessed that she’d had a baby in high school and given it up for adoption. Fast forward a year and she was expecting again. I told her if it was bringing up painful memories and she was having a difficult time that she could lean on me and she informed me that the entire story had been “a joke”.

That last one. Reconnected with my dad as an adult after he had been a deadbeat my entire life. Like no child support, no help with school supplies and just not showing up to take me to Disney and going silent. He plays guitar and is in a band. Decently talented. He’s playing after dinner one night and prefaces the song with “I wrote this about my friend who died in my arms in Afghanistan.” Plays this heartfelt ballad and has my girlfriend at the time and I tearing up. A few years later, we’re back to being estranged. My sister on his side comes over and informs me that not only did none of his friends die in Afghanistan, he’d been discharged from basic training for the national guard because he kept just leaving base for days at a time. 🙄

Omg. My friend in high school, freshman to senior year, told me she moved from Florida at 16 to live with her dad and brothers. I’d go hangout at her house all the time but she never showed me her room. She admitted to me her mom let her move away to be with a 40 year old man in Indiana with his own children, and they played it off as he was her dad. This man’s family assumed she was his long lost daughter too. She told me so many stories of this “neighbor” she’d hook up with. It was him the entire time. She got away. But we don’t talk anymore…

I asked my cousin what happened to her dog and she said with a straight face that she just dropped it off in the woods somewhere. And then laughed. Haven’t talked to her and made me look at her totally different.

A guy I dated in highschool that I broke up with pretty much immediately after said, "Your wrists are so small and thin, it'd be so easy to break them." It fucking scared me so bad, and he thought I was overreacting, but he would not stop making jokes about "breaking my small wrists". Fucking freak.

I was told this after it happened…My mother wrote my cousin’s husband name (she hated him) on a piece of paper and flushed it down the toilet every day for a week. About 2 weeks later he fell off the toilet in his home, hit his head, went into a coma and passed. When my mother told me, she laughed about it and said “if you tell anyone, I’ll k*ll you”. That was 2017 and the final straw after 50 years of narcissistic abuse. I went no contact with her after that and never talked to her again. She passed this year.

The last one really makes me violent. I watched my father, the one person in the world who was suppose to be there for everything, lose himself completely to the things he had done in the Middle East. I’ll never forget the stories he told me, the faces he saw every night specifically a little girl that was my age at the time he was serving (2 years old) our WAR VETERANS lost theirselves for us and for a government that doesn’t care about them, and then weak minded, slimey individuals try to gain sympathy points by using the trauma and pain of those who served…. I just fking can’t.

There was a new girl at our alternative highschool, she already had a 4 year old kid and it was our senior year. Found out she was 🍇 by her uncle and she kept the baby, then near graduation she had an accident that left her paralyzed neck to toe. 28 now and she’s still at the rehabilitation center.

Went to an alternative high school in the country. Had about 15 students in total. There was a girl there that liked my handwriting and asked me if I would help her write letters to her boyfriend in prison. I didn't care so I agreed. I wrote what she told me to in multiple letters for months. Decided one day to look at her Facebook page. Only took me about five minutes to find out the boyfriend was also her cousin. Stopped writing letters for her after that.

My MIL told me that she had a fancy black car in the 60's and the windows got smashed out of it and the cops didn't do any thing about it. Her brand new car was ruined. I asked who did it and she said the cops did. I said why would they do that and she said because they were getting the 3 week old baby she forgot in it out. It was over *100 that day. Even in her old age she was madder that he windows were smashed and no one paid her for that.

It was the summer of 2012 my friend and I were smoking weed in the backyard of his house, he told me he wasn’t going to be here that much longer, he ended up getting drunk and robbing his ex girlfriend house offing her and her dad and took his life in jail.

one time, a close family friend who’s close in age to me was spending the night at my mom’s house. i was around 18-19, her 16-17 and we got in to one of those deep late-night talks and she admitted to me she kills small animals for fun… like frogs, squirrels, anything and then goes on to admit she would kill a child. the way she said it gave me the chills, i remember all the hairs on my neck standing up. i ended up getting her to tell my mom, she hasn’t harmed anyone to my knowledge and it’s about 10 years, but still makes me uneasy

the security gaurd at my store once randomly told me that his daughter was impregnated by his cousin, and that it happened while him, his father, his cousin, and his daughter were all in bed together watching a movie??
