You guys are proving why media literacy is dead. This is Narnia: The Magician’s Nephew, which takes place before the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. It is the first book in the series. The trailer opens by saying “sometimes one story is the beginning of all the others” which is to let you know this is happening before the movie you’ve already seen.

everyone saying "this looks nothing like narnia" the fantasy landscapes you see are The Wood Between Worlds and Charn. the very last three seconds are Aslan bringing Narnia into existence.

I’ve read the magicians nephew several times since I was a kid…this actually looks so much like how I envisioned the story. It’s a very different book than the others

This is literally how Narnia itself was created. It’s NOT going to have the same feeling as those movies because that time period was not yet established in the world. Aslan creates Narnia through sound and color and all the animals. Read the book and then come back to have an opinion

I honestly can’t wait. This is pretty much almost exactly how i saw it in my head. My only beef is that they’re supposed to end up in a forest of puddles. But I can totally wait for the movie to come out

Do yall not know the damn writer of the lion the witch and the wardrobe was a minimalist so he left the interpretation up to the viewer of what the war and all that looked like i still perfer the old narnia because that was my childhood this new movie is gonna be someone else’s childhood

LethalSavvy :
My biggest problem with this is Aslan's voice being female. He is a male lion and a direct correlation to Christ so His voice being female isn't a good change to say the least.

It was always weird to me that “the lion the witch and the wardrobe” (the third of the series) was the starting point. I’m excited to see it start at book 1!

people hating on aslan being voice by a woman clearly don't know anything about voice acting. the voice for naruto, a guy character, is voiced by a woman 🤯 there are so many male characters that have been voiced by women, and seeing that aslan is young and it's the creation of his world, it makes sense to me giving him a younger voice which is easiest done being voiced by (YOU GUESSED IT) a woman!!!

After the original cast literally passed away in real life - it’s OK for us to leave some books closed.
