Been inpatient psych at state hospital for 20 years. Looked into the previous version and couldn’t make it work for our facility due to the post injection monitoring. This new version is wonderful and I am very hopeful for this LAI. I agree zyprexa is very effective for many in acute psychosis, used it both po and IM many of times and had success. One of my favorite orders.

Weird question for you I work in inpatient as an intensive treatment specialist and if a patient is actively on this and we have to IM them Ativan. Will that do the same effect as if you do an IM Ativan and Zyprexa and caused the Respitory distress

I take olanzapine at night for sleep and for mood stability. not asking for medical advice just asking how it works but does this also help with nightly sleep or just mood stability
