@therapyforblackmen: Rest well, king. Hassan Jihad Ibn Kariem was a teacher, a husband, a father, and a man people loved. He was 42. He went to Six Flags with his son and never came home. Some people saw his death and reached for a joke. This is what desensitization looks like. We've been trained to consume tragedy instead of feeling it. But a grieving family will read those comments. A son will remember what the world said about his father. Pray for his wife, his son, his family, and his students. And please don't share the photos from that day. He deserves to be remembered by who he was, not by his worst moment. Choose tenderness. Honor the dead. Protect the grieving. That's what love does. May The Most High hold everyone who loved him. 🤎
