On January 29, 2026, Kon Knueppel and Cooper Flagg went head to head in Dallas in one of the greatest rookie duels ever. Kon drained eight threes for 34, Flagg answered with 49, and their 83 combined were the most by opposing rookies since Tiny Archibald and Pete Maravich in 1971. Kon got the last word, hitting the winning free throws in a 123-121 Hornets win.
