@dailymailpolitics: Donald Trump's new White House press secretary stunned reporters with an answer about her legal training in China as questions about her attorney qualifications swirl. Katie Zacharia, 41, a mother of four who was a mainstay on conservative broadcast shows before being tapped last week to replace Karoline Leavitt as White House press secretary, has since been dogged with questions about her legal qualifications. 'Katie is a distinguished Graduate of Pepperdine University, and the Pepperdine Caruso School of Law, an attorney, and a frequent Commentator on outlets, including Fox News and Newsmax,' Trump wrote while announcing the new press secretary. But to become an attorney, not just a lawyer, one must pass a bar exam in the US – and Zacharia is not found in California's state bar website, indicating she did not pass the exam in her home state. In fact, Zacharia's name was not found in the attorney directories of any US state or territory, says newsletter author Judd Legum, who has openly questioned whether the new press secretary has broken any laws related to falsely claiming to be an attorney. Exiting the White House along with the president on Tuesday afternoon, a reporter asked Trump where Zacharia passed her bar exam, a prerequisite to becoming an attorney. 'You said she's an attorney. Where did she pass the bar exam? Which state?' a reporter asked the president, who turned the question over to his press secretary. I want to be ambitious. I want to build businesses, increase my income, create opportunities, and see what I’m capable of. I’ve never been someone who was satisfied with staying exactly where I was just because it was comfortable. But there’s something I think about a lot now: what is the point of working so hard to build a better life if I’m too busy to actually experience it? It means I want to be intentional about what I’m working toward. I want to build businesses that create more options, not just more responsibilities. I want more income without believing that the only way to earn more is to give up every spare hour I have. That’s what freedom means to me. It’s not never working. It’s having more say over how I spend my time, what opportunities I can give my family, and what my life looks like. I’m still building toward that. I have a business, I’m working on building online, and I’m figuring out how to create something bigger without losing sight of why I wanted more in the first place. I don’t just want to build a life that looks successful. I want one I actually get to live.
