@echoarchive5: This is a mummy of a man from the Ptolemaic Period (c. 305–30 BCE), known for intricate geometric linen head wrappings and painted cartonnage elements. Housed in the Louvre Museum, this exceptionally preserved mummy dates back to Egypt’s Ptolemaic Period (c. 305–30 BCE). Beyond the preservation itself, the craftsmanship of the embalmers is breathtaking—notice the meticulous, overlapping geometric patterns woven into the facial bandages, as well as the detailed painted cartonnage pectoral resting over the chest. Every layer was placed with deliberate care to guide and protect the soul on its journey through the afterlife. Location / Collection: Musée du Louvre, Paris, France (Department of Egyptian Antiquities).
