The avoidant is actually a person who can’t handle emotions. They freak out and push a partner away as a defense mechanism… sometimes they due it subconsciously. meaning they don’t even realize they are doing it… and if you tell them what they do and you call them.. the shame is so bad they can’t handle it mentally… they snap out or think you are lying on them…yes it’s lame as fuck and they usually look for shallow relationships while in a relationship. It’s a loop I’m not saying they are going to accept it… but it creates awareness for people who are dating them and maybe someone can lead them to seek treatment.. my sons father needs psychotherapy calling him lame is never going to change this is from a deep mother wound… closeness for them is almost suffocating
