@dailymail: Cornell has banned all fraternity parties for the rest of the academic year as the university continues to grapple with the fallout of the Jane Doe sexual assault, where a student alleges fraternity members gang raped her in 2024. The unverisity will also add "experienced, trauma-informed criminal investigators" to their police force as the case continues to be investigated. Cornell president Michael I. Kotlikoff said in a statement to campus, "I am deeply sorry for the harm Jane Doe suffered in 2024, and appalled that this act of sexual violence occurred within our Cornell community. It is clear that women on our campus continue to question whether they are safe. We must meet this moment by acknowledging where we have fallen short and taking meaningful action." #news #cornell
