Hey I’m not from US. Could you explain to me what do you mean with banned books? They are banned from schools but you can still go to a library or order on Amazon?

I didn't understand *Animal Farm* when I read it as a child; I began to understand it a bit as I grew up, and now that I am an adult, I fully understand it

Today, 1984 fits what has been happening/happened in the " free world" like a glove. Down with Big Brother...

Also be sure to find older publications of the book from a second hand book store or see if you can thrift it cause the new publications are different and important things have been changed and left out

I read 1984 & Animal Farm again recently and they frightened the sh*t out of me. I read them in the 70s/early 80s and 'enjoyed' them as good fiction. Now they seem a little too prophetic. 😥😯

The copy I have of animal farm (same author) also has an appendix of a letter explaining why some publishers didn’t want to publish animal farm because it was resembling descriptions of those world leaders.
