@keenaweenaa: and please please PLEASE 😭 while ur in school, IF u can, get as much experience outside of your internships as possible!! volunteer, work part time, do behavioral health, case management, schools, hospitals, nonprofits, literally anything that can give u hands-on experience and something to add to your resume. that’s probably one of the biggest things i wish i would’ve understood earlier. your degrees are definitely important, but once u graduate, these jobs want EXPERIENCE too 😭 internships count, but having actual work experience outside of them can make such a difference. especially if u already have an idea of what population or type of social work u wanna go into. even if it’s not your dream position or the pay isn’t amazing while ur still in school, think about what that job is adding to your resume and what skills u can take from it. by the time u graduate with your MSW, u don’t want to just have the degree, u want to be able to say “i have my MSW AND i already have years of experience working in the field.” trust me, future u will thank u 😭😂❤️ #msw #mswstudents #fyp #socialwork #socialworkersoftiktok
