you should look into the Texas store chain HEB. they have their own disaster response unit.

go_4_drummer :
another neat thing to look at is waffle House having response teams that will go and operate a store in highly affected areas to allow the employees that live in that area to go home and plan evacuations or prep for the weather accordingly

When living in the south if you are discussing the incoming storm the conversation usually involves waffle house. I don't get nervous until red.

Another one I don't know if you came across this when you were doing your research. But Waffle house will also bring in workers from outside of the area before large storms. To man the stores so that the current workers that live in the area can go and prepare for the storm at their personal property which is so cool. That's one of the reasons why they have a mobile command center is for that purpose.

The Waffle House also has Jump teams- people that volunteer to go into an affected area so those employees can care for family or repairs. They are also a pretty decent stop on road trips for vegetarians 🤷♀️just recently learned that. Clues for people that have never been to Waffle House 3 am is usually the best entertainment- do not mess with the line cook- EVER - I can’t swear to it but I think they are all trained in MMA
