This is 10 mins from my house. And a downtown city center is 15. I’m spoiled

I live in a walkable city. My grocery store, park, pharmacy, library, restaurants, bars, hospital and train station are within a 10 minute walk. It’s the best

I moved from LA to Santa Barbara, and I thought I was going to feel so claustrophobic only living in a 2 mile radius instead of 10 or 20. Instead, life feels like it has more time for depth

I moved about 5 miles closer to downtown and the lake and it has literally changed my whole perspective on the town I live in. I no longer want to move to another city. Plus being in a more walkable area has brought so much joy flexibility and ease.

The best amenity is a place where you can go outside every day. And extra credit if you can access nature within 10 minutes.

I will die right next to you on all these hills, except number 4– moving really has helped me step into a new identity. the people we see on a regular basis can hold you in a past version of yourself. if you can’t find people around you who make you feel good, and you don’t identify with the people who live in your town, moving can radically change your life

I was telling my coworker about how much of a money sink owning a house is and he was like "but you get more space" and I'm like "why would I want that though? what is that space for?" and he was like, yeah fair point lol

Moved from Houston to Seattle and it’s been amazing for my life and mental health. I walk or take transit, grocery store - walk 6 min, gym - walk 10 min, 3 coffee shops - 2 min walk, numerous restaurants in front of our house, parks all over the city. It’s literally the absolute best. If you can afford to leave the car centric life, do it!!

I live out in the countryside with very few neighbors. It my sacred peaceful place. I have a job as a flight attendant which takes me everywhere. Having my solitude at home keeps my sanity. Life styles may matter in your analysis
