I used to be a Nursing Auxiliary and now work for the HR department in my local NHS. We have a redeployment policy that tried to match you to a suitable post. I went from working full time to working 15 hours a week due to fibromyalgia, chronic pain and arthritis. I'm 35

darling, unfortunately I had to give my job up. I was a carer for 10 years. The pain is that bad some days I can’t get out of bed. You need to go to the doctors or get advice about not working.

I work for the housing call centre - repairs and housing. Came here last year as I an inclusion coordinator in a special school for 12 years and needed a change as I was struggling with the stairs and walking round up down, all over. Much better here, plus work from home 3 days a week

I work in a supermarket 2 shifts a week, 12 till 9.15pm Tuesday and Fridays. I have to have at least 2 days in-between shifts to be able to rest and I'm on painkillers so I can go to work and function 😅 😴 Cocodamol, Amitriptaline and Naproxen. I'm knackered 😂

After working since I was 12, I finally had to give into early retirement @ 60. No pension, not enough saved. Finally got approved for disability but even that's not enough to live on.

I walked out of my job in May, and now I’m looking to do something at home. I’ve tried my own small baking business and notepad making, but those haven’t gone anywhere. I’ve thought about making seed bead jewelry 🥴

I worked 29 years got ill had an infection in my body for over 10 months that turned into fibromyalgia, from that I been on sick had to have physio and pain management and start my CBT on Monday after 6 months wait , because all my darkest day’s became reality and I was forced to delve into my past in order to make my future better so in a way my fibromyalgia was a blessing , forced me to slow down stop and listen to my body, and I’m hoping after this I can get back to work as that is what I done for 29 years before all this.

im currently employed as a nursery practitioner but been off sick myself since July. I dont think I will be returning as the job is too demanding and I an unable to get the pain under control. so like you financially struggling but managing to get by. Im 52 and worked all my life apart from having my two kids on mat leave. I would live to do some kind of work for my own mental health xxx
