I do think Spotify only banks the 1x speed. So even if you listen to a 15 hour audiobook at 2x speed it will still cut off at 7.5 hours.

Utilize your local library! my library has both Libby and Hoopla. I listen to roughly 4 to 5 audiobooks PER WEEK! I also have Spotify and upgraded my Audible so that I get 2 credits a month for $22. Definitely worth it! Also, when using Audible DONT BUY THE BOOK OUTRIGHT! Its usually cheaper to buy a credit and use the credit.

Everand has different options. I get 3 credits for the price of one audible credit. Just important you use your credits or you lose them. They do not roll over. But you could just pick one you know you will read and listen later

Libby and hoopla, get on hold lines they usually go faster than they show and just look for audiobooks ready now to hold you over until then, I almost only get free audiobooks. I have had to pay for only TWO this whole year. I also listen on 3x speed. 130 books so far just this year

Spotify doesn't work like that. It's 15 hours no matter the playback speed. I would recommend trying to get several library cards. Start with your local library first, check to see if they partner with any other library. You can than move on to paid library cards. There are some great ones. Look up “Libby maxing” and you will find a bunch of great tips. Hoopla is great too. That's where I listened to Calamity Club. I save my audible credits for books that are Audible exclusives.

If you download the Libby app and get a library card (or multiple) you can check them out from the library for free! sometimes you have to wait on the hold list for a while so I usually have a lot of things on hold.

I’m on with a shitty reading I just want the content. With kindle unlimited assistive reader you can listen to ANY book and it’s really funny when Alexa’s robot voice cusses 😂

Libby! If you are willing to wait for new releases, that is where I listen. You need a library card from your local library. I filled my library card request out online and then just had to go show my ID to get my card.
