Jesus Christ is one of the most important people in history and the central figure of Christianity. Christians believe that Jesus is the Son of God, the promised Messiah, and the Savior of the world. His life, teachings, death, and resurrection have influenced billions of people throughout history. Even today, people around the world continue to follow His teachings and place their faith in Him. According to the Bible, Jesus was born in Bethlehem to Mary. Christians believe that His birth was miraculous because He was conceived through the Holy Spirit. Mary and Joseph raised Jesus in Nazareth, which is why He was often called Jesus of Nazareth. The Bible does not tell us much about His childhood, but it describes an important event when Jesus was twelve years old and spoke with teachers in the temple. Even at a young age, He showed a deep understanding of God’s Word. When Jesus was about thirty years old, He began His public ministry. He traveled throughout the region teaching people about God and the kingdom of heaven. He chose twelve disciples to follow Him and help spread His message. Jesus taught that people should love God with all their heart and love their neighbors as themselves. He also taught people to forgive others, show mercy, be humble, and help those who were suffering. One of the most important parts of Jesus’ teaching was His command to love others. Jesus did not only tell people to love their friends. He also taught them to love their enemies and pray for those who treated them badly. This was a difficult teaching because people naturally want revenge when they are hurt. Jesus showed that forgiveness and love are stronger than hatred. Jesus also cared deeply about people who were poor, sick, rejected, or treated unfairly. He spent time with people whom others avoided. He healed many sick people and performed miracles. The Bible describes Him healing the blind, helping people who could not walk, calming storms, feeding large crowds, and even raising Lazarus from the dead. Christians believe these miracles showed His power and demonstrated God’s compassion. Jesus often taught through stories called parables. One famous example is the Parable
