We can use all kinds of bread to adapt to many things. Like back in my day in my family, we couldn’t afford buns so for burgers we had to use the sliced bread and all that grease would soak up the bread and make it soggy!!!

Wonderful question. When I was a kid, this was one of the few ways i was a picky eater. I'd refuse to use bread products outside its stated purpose. Now, I'll mismatch bread no problem. bread for hot dog buns, hamburger/hot dog rolls for sandwiches. The one thing I won't do is hotdogs on a hamburger bun because its awkward.

I have used sandwich bread for hamburgers and french toast, hamburger buns for hotdogs (look up chicos tacos hotdogs), hotdog buns and bagels for sandwiches, bolillo rolls for sandwiches and capirotada, and Italian bread for pizza 🤷‍♂️
