I retired 18 months ago and I was going to get a part time job or do volunteer work. I haven’t done any of that and I’m so happy! I do whatever I want when I want. It’s great!

I'm prepping for retirement, and I hate when people ask ..."oh, so what do you plan to do?" I'm like, nothing, I'm retiring!

Retired 13 years, from 37 years of special ed teaching. Tried the post retirement hustle, feeling like if I didn't have a busy life I was wasting my life. WRONG. Now I seek peace, comfort, and an easy pace. It feels so much better.

Common sense :
I have a loose routine. I travel as much as I can. I play a lot of Pickleball. I work out with a trainer two days a week. I don’t cook near what I used to. I have ladies come clean my house heavy once a month so I can keep up with the rest of the time I go out to dinner with my girlfriend at least once or twice a month.

Retired 5 years ago after 35 years driving transit. Keep getting asked if I will go back to work or miss driving... first thing I did was get rid of the alarm clock, then my cdl. Miss having a schedule every day? Nope. Miss trying to get everything done in a weekend that now I can do over days or weeks? Not even. My days are filled with still trying to unwind from the stress of working. Take things as they come, relax, no hurry left. Just trying to enjoy what's left of my life! 🥰

I go where my heart leads me . . . into the garden . . . into the sunshine . . . into the hammock with a good book.

Hopefully, y’all don’t have aging parents because I can tell you from experience, it’s hard being 71 with a 95 year old mothers affairs and 3 siblings who are either unable or unwilling to help.

I’m 72 and a widow now. Retired 6 years. I am a routine kind of person but now my only routine is getting out each morning for a 3 mile walk. After full time job and care giver I’m happy to just be. I feel very lucky

I hear you sister. I spent decades where other people relied on me to get stuff done. I’m not exhausted and ready to just chill for a while.

Here! Retired 3+ years. One event per day is enough for me. I had lunch with friends today, then went the grocery store. The rest of the day has been spent reading.
