@fivetomatoes: Crispy Long Fries Ingredients 2 large potatoes (about 500 g) 3 tbsp cornstarch 2 tbsp all-purpose flour ½ tsp salt ½ tsp garlic powder ¼ tsp black pepper 1–3 tbsp milk, only if needed Oil for deep-frying Instructions 1. Cook the potatoes Peel and chop the potatoes. Boil until fork-tender, then drain very well. Let them steam-dry for a few minutes so excess moisture evaporates. 2. Make the potato dough Mash until completely smooth. Mix in the butter, cornstarch, flour, salt, garlic powder, and pepper. Add milk a teaspoon at a time only if the dough is too dry. It should be smooth and firm, not sticky. Place the dough between two sheets of parchment paper. Roll it to about ¼ inch thick, then use a knife or pizza cutter to cut strips 6–8 inches long. Gently round the edges with your fingers. Or 3. Shape the long fries Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a large round or star tip. Pipe long strips onto parchment paper. Aim for about 6–8 inches long. If the dough is too firm, knead it briefly until pipeable. 4. Fry until golden Heat oil to 350°F (175°C). Carefully lower the strips into the oil in small batches. Fry for about 3–5 minutes, turning gently, until golden and crisp. Drain on a wire rack. #food #Recipe #fyp #EasyRecipe #quickrecipes
