We had to make the tough decision of putting my daughter on anxiety medication when she was 8. We had been trying all the things since she was 4 and it was progressively getting worse. It was such a tough decision for me, but it’s been about a year and a half now and she is thriving with the help of her medicine. It made me feel like a bad mom at first, because why is my kid so anxious, but now that she is finally able to function without constant fear I don’t care what people think. I’m so thankful she is happier and healthier now!
