once went through 5 separate interviews for a staff cloud engineer position. Took almost 4 weeks. After the last interview they waited another 3 days and they offered me the position. I said no thanks, if it takes you this long to make a decision like this, I can only imagine how everything else works here.

When I got hired at Google a few years ago I literally had 2 interviews and got the offer the same day I don't understand why there are so many steps now, and half of the positions are for low to mid level like??? Why do I need to meet your neighbor's dog before you tell me I have the job???

Told a hospital facility 3 months ago, thanks but no thanks, cause after 4 interviews then an offer coming 3 weeks after the last interview, I had accepted a position and started working at a small clinic 2 weeks prior...their response was how disappointed they were in me for wasting their time 🤣

Gosh…this hits so hard and is so real and on both sides. Caution and excitement are both understandable and probably wanted to a certain degree BUT I will die on the hill that the most important things here are respecting people’s time paired with higher levels of reciprocity and empathy.

im just saying. if theres multiple people who want to regulate new hires, theres panel interviews for a reason. get everyone together and conduct the interview. if someone cant make it you can record it so they can see it later. seven interviews is crazy

went through 7 interviews got hired, then they hired a guy for vp with zero experience in our world. Who in turn hired his nephew, then the vp fired me. No reason given other than. he claimed I went home on the weekends

For my current position I had 2 calls with HR, 2 in person interviews with multiple people in each session and a lunch interview with the president and VP. It was exhausting! I did get the job and the company is pretty laid back. And 7 years later not one person I interviewed with is still at the company. 😂

Went through 5 rounds, told how amazing I was doing, how I’m practically a sure hire, just for it to be flipped to an internal hire. Thanked them for there time and yep. Never been so frustrated and pissed.

We did a half-day interview with all concerned managers and took the candidate to lunch. After an internal meeting later that day not pending other interviews we made a decision to hire someone. This is a Fortunate 100 company.
