@thechefandwife: We were just running errands, grocery shopping, and getting ready to pick up the kids when Jason suggested we grab a bag of chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream bites and sit in the back of our work van. And that’s exactly what we did. I probably never would have thought to do that on my own. I would’ve just kept going, thinking about the next thing on our list, because eating half a bag of ice cream bites in a grocery store parking lot isn’t usually on my to-do list. 😂 But he reminded me that we could pause, indulge a little, and enjoy five minutes together. And sometimes I think that’s what we need more of. Not elaborate date nights or perfectly planned evenings (though those are good too), but one of us saying, “Hey, let’s enjoy this little moment together.” (He’s better at it than I am, if I’m honest 🥴) Sometimes romance isn’t about having more time. It’s about what you do with the little time you have. So here’s your reminder that a five-minute date still counts.
