Harris’s upcoming biography of David, “Emperor of Nothing,” the comedian recalls crossing paths with Simpson at Los Angeles’s Riviera Country Club on June 12, 1994, while having breakfast with family and friends. ⠀ Comedy writer Alan Zweibel, who was there with David, recalls speaking with Simpson that morning and seeing him again later that day at a dance recital where their daughters were performing. ⠀ Simpson was acquitted of the murders in a criminal trial but later found liable for their deaths in a civil case. ⠀ “Emperor of Nothing” comes out Oct. 20.
