Crystal, sometimes you do need to say no to your parents, or whoever. for you to grow as a person. your rejection of their request was part of your growth. you certainly didn't do it to hurt them. keep that thought in your mind and you will come through this tough time. 😌

90年代初的人和80后有很多共通点，比如我们和父母吵架之后会懊悔，会认为他们辛苦养大我们，我们却对最亲近人的人因为生气说出很难听的话，会因为父母一件要求拒绝父母的同时还内耗自己！因为我们的父母大都是付出型任劳任怨的性格！但是他们也做不到边界感，大都是时代的原因！如果是00后小孩和他们的家长就不会这样！时代进步了，但是有些人却停留在原地，是因为几十年如一日就这么过来的，所以我很能理解你为什么因为拒绝父母还身体发抖！因为你冲出了自我禁锢，但是这需要一个过程！

Boundaries are important in all relationships, but don't make them so absolute that it completely shuts off communication or a chance to reconcile your differences. They will always be your family and I know there had to be good times between all of you. When I was 18 I left home an angry young man and stopped talking with my mother. I was stubborn and did not communicate once after I left home. Then, one year later she unexpectedly passed. I am 71 now and I think about her every single day. I carry decades of regret with me and it is a very heavy weight.

Crystal you are a hundred percent correct.. your parents definitely love you. And I'm sure there's still stuck in the culture That they grew up in in their mindset.. And it's okay to disagree with your parents or anyone, because we can't make every single person. Happy in this world, we have to do what we believe. God is telling us to do for ourselves. As long as we're respecting our parents disagreeing with them doesn't mean we disrespect them, or we don't like them, it just means that you just don't agree with the decisions that they want you to make, because you are your own person. And we definitely need people to have our back to be on our side. And your husband if you have one, he should always be right there with you. Just as you should be there with him on any decisions that he makes.... And if you're not married yet. It definitely wouldn't take you long to find somebody because you are definitely a beautiful young woman that would not have a problem finding a man... So good for you, stay strong and continue to let your parents know that you love them. I know for me. I'm the baby of 7 kids, and now I'm 55 right now. I had to cut all of my family out of my life. Both my parents died when I was young.. So I had to learn to sync, or swim quickly on my own..
