According to police records, the girl reported that Spanton came home intoxicated in July 2025, s*xually touched her over her clothing while she was sleeping on a couch, and lay on top of her. She also reported waking on other mornings to find him rubbing her legs. During a recorded phone call, Spanton reportedly said he did not remember the incident but did not deny it. Police say he described the alleged behavior as disgusting and said he was ashamed. After his arrest, a judge ordered Spanton released on his own recognizance.
