I work 50-55 hours a week on nights. Take my kids to school every day, pick them up everyday, spend time with them and cook my family dinner every night, clean the house, play 100+ rounds of golf without playing on the weekends, and can hunt/fish literally whenever I want to. All things I couldn't do if I worked daylight. Wouldn't have it any other way.

Not only that but it actually effects your health that is why Europe did a study on it and payed its workers a big pay differential to work at night!

on your days off you keep your schedule, black out curtains, melatonin, cool room, easy peasy, workout etc. Never treat night shift like day shift, we are different we are vampires 🧛♂️

I actually prefer night shift. I’m away when my kids are asleep, asleep when my kids are at school and awake when they are home. I’m on day shift this week and I hate it

Genuine question because I realized a lot of my fellow night shift folks are staying awake during the day on off days. Aside from the obvious 'I have a family/I want to go out with friends', why do you not just sleep during the day, and stay awake during your 'normal' work shift hours? If you dont have kids, a spouse, or arent constantly going out with friends, why keep messing up your sleep?
