Thank you for breaking this down! I was going to vote no on 2 but wasnt sure one 1 & 3. 3 was especially confusing since it was so vague and i was wondering why we bothered to change it at all. Thanks for educating the voters!

wow, this info came to me just in time. I was going to vote yes on the first one because it is entirely misleading not only in the documentation but also in other senators websites. They make it seem like oh of course he would pick yes because they don’t list anything other than the top three or four crimes. That should be illegal to misrepresent the wording that would be changed. Thank you so much.. I am voting no on all three and was doing early voting tomorrow morning.

Thaaaank you for breaking it down like this so I know I’m voting the correct way since the wording of things is so wonky. 😅😂

I’m so glad you broke this down because I was researching as much as I can and nothing was making sense to me as to why two and three needed to know I will be there first thing in the morning to vote no on 1,2, & 3

Need to bring hemp back. Now they're going to overcrowd jails with people on simple possession. This is not the way.

I need to read into these three amendments a little more the language isn’t as simple.

Vote YES to #2 unless you want the crooked left to add a state income tax later. This fixes it so they cannot.

I begging for number three as yes ! What concerns me is the idea that we can say “there’s enough here, and we can fix the rest through policy later.” I’ve actually been through the victim-rights process, and that’s exactly why “later” worries me. There are already protections and procedures on paper, yet I still went through a plea process where I felt I had no meaningful voice, and I’ve since found gaps in how information follows an offender and how different parts of the system communicate. I’m not saying Amendment 3 fixes every one of those problems it doesn’t. I’m saying those problems are why I don’t think “we can make more policy later” is as simple or reassuring as it sounds. Getting a new law or policy written, passed, implemented and actually working can take years. I believe three is a start to that change . That is the only part of your argument I’m struggling with. One and two no . Look at it this way amendment three helps victims that a guilty plea or someone who is already found guilty already exists not just random people saying I am a victim .

Thank you for posting this! I still haven’t heard a good explanation for why 3 should be voted against, other than vague “we don’t trust anything this legislature proposes” (which I get, and I feel that too!). But what is the harm or potential harm in inserting language protecting victims (and their families) into the state constitution?
