Oh I feel this. My oldest (27) is on the spectrum + DD. It's been a lot of work and somedays it still is. She has skills and volunteers full-time, but still many things are repetitive to get there. I still find things in places that make more sense to her but even she can't find them when asked.

I'm a grandmother on the spectrum, but it wasnt called the spectrum back in the day, it was more like " day dreamer or silly heart". I was never good with multiple tasks. If mom said to do three things, I did one, maybe two. Mom would then just say this task needs to be done by the end of the day. I handled that task. We do turn out just fine, even if we do things completely backwards!

We are working on this at our house. We have house cleaners and 4 neuro spicy people in our house. I am about to put pictures on the outside of the cabinets so things go where they are supposed to.
