I live in an HOA thankfully nothing crazy, BUT while we don’t have that for neighbors.: there is still that feeling of i own my house but not “free” to do as I please without asking permission every single time 🙄 I feel like land convanants are the middle ground lol

id rather live in that neighborhood than deal with an hoa fining me because my door is the wrong shade or I dont take my trash bin up immediately after they take the trash every week. I will never live in an hoa.

I live in a city that enforces basic common sense ordinances. I hate HOA neighborhoods, gotta get approval for paint colors, landscaping, etc….left your trash can out…..I’m good.
