While Hunter was in utero he had a intracardiac echogenic focus and we went for extra ultrasounds often. the spot ended up disappearing and he had no issues with it. About 2 years later a doctor heard a heart murmur and we went to see a cardiologist who said its normal for young kids and he should outgrow it. At 7 years old he had another cardiologist appointment (completely unrelated to the murmur) his heart murmur was gone at that point. Its always soo scary when something new comes up and advocating for your kids can be really difficult but there will be a doctor that listens and shares your concerns! It took 6 years to finally have a doctor listen to me about concerns for Hunter and 2 years for a doctor to hear me about Eleanor. Now they are both in great hands with doctors who were able to diagnose their health problems.

Ada had a murmur they noticed and had an echo in utero and day after being born one hole closed at 4 months and we’ll go back for another echo when she’s 2. Crazy that they’re waiting over 18 months to see if the second hole closes.

Good job advocating for your babies. It’s one of the hardest things to do. Don’t ever stop❤️
