@sophias_year_off: Passive income or making money doing what you love? Quick context if you’re new: I’m 37, I quit my director job in tech, and I’m taking one year off to test what I actually want to do next and try to avoid going back to a 9-5. The two paths I keep going back and forth on: 1️⃣ Chase what I love, and risk ending up back at a corporate job with my dreams crushed too 2️⃣ Try the “easy” passive income stuff, and risk wasting the year without ever betting on myself The funny part is that I already did the scary thing by quitting my 9-5 to try this. And I’m still finding myself reaching for the safer option. Which fear is louder for you? 👇 Follow along for my experiments and learnings!
Just one perspective, now that I’m in my 50s, I see that many (not all) of the “I just chased my dreams” group actually had inheritances/family money/spousal support. With that UBI covered, they could dial down the “make a living” part of the equation. If that’s you, great! Go big! If not, just be aware that your equation is different then theirs.

Find a job that you like enough but pays you enough and gives you enough time to do your passions on the side that may bring you some fun money but you don’t depend on to live

Still figuring out the whole AI dropshipping thing, to be honest. But going from a 9 to 5 to around 12k a month is wild.
